The rooms with view of the bay are modern, clean and neat. I would stay a week. Restaurant. Wrong time of the year for the stellar hidden gem of a pool, unfortunately.

The location, the history, the food - it was excellent and we really enjoyed staying there
Our A/C didn't work. They did offer us an alternative room, but it would have been a hassle to pack up and then unpack.

There was secure free parking. We had a nice view and balcony looking out at Hout Bay. The complimentary breakfast was very nice each day. The room was large and the tub a nice extra feature. Its a historic hotel with interesting photos. The bed was comfortable. Good fish restaurants nearby. Its right on the road to Chapmans Peak Drive.
The location was a bit farther from Cape Town than we may have preferred, but is right on the water at Hout Bay. The pool was unheated in May. It was many steps up to get to it, not quite like it is seen in the photos.
