Moulin de Fourges

It was in a beautiful location.

We would like to had more dinner options at the restaurant. It was a prix fix dinner which we didn’t care for the selection that evening. Adding an option of Soup and Salad with a desert would be wonderful. It was late and we were hungry. We ended up walking to a pizza restaurant nearby but it was closed. There was a bakery so we got a few things. We brought back to our room #9 but no table to eat on. We ate outside. Please add a table to the room maybe near the sofa. We can put drinks on it. It would be perfect then.

Dining area nice, bedrooms spacious. Would definitely get this top top score but the room itself was a bit musty smelling. They did provide a dehumidifier but did not have it running well, so it wasn’t useful.

Bedroom Musty smell fixed. Breakfast was a bit minimal given how nice the restaurant is.

The ambience of the hotel was wonderful. Very laid back and it was very quiet, despite it being full. Evening meals was were good and the restaurant staff were very friendly. Breakfast was typically French, perhaps a little sparse, with no cooked food. Th e whole are was very spacious with the wonderful view of the river and weir, but also very quiet. Our room was very spacious with a good bathroom and toilet. They had done a good job, converting the old water mill, with the wheel still turning.

Nothing. We were blessed with good weather. Had it been raining or very cold, we would have had to dress up to walk the 75 metres to the restaurant. Slight;y out of the way, the sat. nav. needed to work hard!

Serine and quiet location . Beautiful old buildings. Although the menu was basic, the food was very nice, and the restaurant pleasant as was the staff.

Not sure if my message was taken into consideration, I requested twin beds and we got a double. To top it up we were given a room on the thirty floor. My friend and I are 76 yrs old and although we’re fairly fit, the stairs taking us to our room made it difficult after a full day of visiting. (Just wondering if the information given when signing up with booking.com eg. age of customers, is available to the hosts). I did bring it to the attention at reception and they did offer another room. We declined as we had already unpacked our bags.
