Quiet, solitude, far from city, which is what was expected
Situated in amongst the old traditional shrines n temples of Kyoto, surprisingly no Japanese food selection for BF n normal lunch or dinner in the hotel. A major let down. A point to ponder is it worth the 2nd visit.

The hotel was exceptional. The staff could not do enough. The room was modern, spotless and the view over the garden and temple were fabulous. The amenities were fantastic. The location for us was great-there was the 203 bus stop directly outside that took us to pretty much everywhere. An amazing stay and we would definitely stay again!!

Where do I start? Have to say it was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and by far the best hotel I stayed in whilst in Japan. The rooms were massive and extremely comfortable. The breakfast simply beautiful, could not fault it. Extremely relaxing and the location was just amazing, right outside was buses and the subway was not too far way, loved the location!!

I loved that the property was so clean, near a bus line and boasted its own garden to walk around on. Also, the staff was helpful and accommodating. My room was an exquisite showcase of Japanese hospitality and met all of my needs. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying. The staff even helped me get a ride to the airport that took a credit card, which was convenient.
