On Monday we arrived and at first glance the house was exceptional. The house, rooms, pool, etc. were clean and spacious. Our troubles started Monday evening when one of our kids told us there was water all over the floor upstairs under the mini split air conditioner. We immediately turned it off, cleaned the water off the floors, and got in contact with Beach Box to get the issue resolved. Someone arrived Tuesday morning, he left assuring us it was taken care of, he fixed the AC setting to ON and Auto and left. That night heavy rains and strong winds woke us up around 6 am and to our surprise we found water all in the upper level and lower level around the doors and on the hardwood floors. not to mention leaking out of a recessed light, walls, ceiling and beam all located on the first living level. We immediately started mopping and sopping up the water on the floors, putting out pots and pans to help catch water that was pouring through. My husband tried repeatedly to reach someone on the 24-hour assistance number starting at 6:50am no one answered until 9:02am. The same gentleman did not arrive at the property until around 2 that day. Not much later and while he was still there, we lost power and the estimated time for power return was approximately 5pm. We made the executive decision to leave, enough is enough, packed our belongings and started our journey back home a day early 6/17/26.VRBO case number 154313443

What's bad: 1. We walked into the home with wet floor in the kitchen on on top of the stairs! I'm talking puddles of water. I contacted the host immediately via text asking to send someone to check. The host responded to the text right away but the solution was for us to mop the floor ourselves and keep an eye on any leak.2. One of the bedroom/common area had a split a/c that the remote control was missing. The unit was high up on the wall we couldn't turn it on manually. The room was hot. The host said they would look into getting us another remote but then quiet and no further response. 3. Kitchen was not well maintained and equipped. Plates and silverware were plenty, but other cooking tools were not quite enough. Only one small roll o paper towels and a single detergent pod for dishwasher. What's good: cute home with plenty of beds, above ground pool, close enough to walk to the beach
