Great stay overall. We had a large group staying here for a wedding and everyone fit comfortably. Gerald and Ruth allowed us to check in early on day of arrival and were accommodating. Home had everything we needed for the beach, kitchen, etc. Outside back yard was pretty. The hosts were very accessible if needed, they were often even on property.

Great place to stay on the Cape. Extremely nice host and the property has a lot of amenities. Convenient to beaches, shopping, and fishing.

Captain Alexander’s was perfect for our family! Fenced yard for the toddler as well as the proximity to the beach! The adults enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor shower. Perfectly close to our wedding venue as well.

I stayed at this place last weekend and although it was beautiful and in a great location, I had two issues. 1) the owner forced me into buying VRBO insurance when I refused to send him a $500 security deposit in the mail. I told him he was supposed to charge security deposit through the app and I would have no problem with that but since the reservation had already gone through, he couldn’t so he said I had to buy insurance, or send him $500 in the mail or else he would cancel. Very unprofessional that I had to buy insurance because of his mistake in not charging security deposit upon booking 2) Throughout our stay, the owner was constantly around. For the most part I did not care because he was a nice guy but when we came back from the beach one day, he followed us into the back yard to make sure we washed off the sand outside before going in the house. It was off putting to be treated in such a childish manner. He has far too many rules to read through and the constant communication prior to and during the stay is exhausting. Overall, I likely would not stay here again for these reasons but if you can get past these things, it is a beautiful house in a great area.
