We booked the room with the private onsen and it was perfect! They were also very attentive to any food allergies, I do not eat meat and they proposed me a menu for the dinner that was delicious! I also told them that it was our honeymoon and they left to us a very nice message in the room and offered a dessert to celebrate :)

The hotel is not so easy to be reached but they offer for free a shuttle service from Gora Station, which is very convenient :)

I was checking in a large group, and the representative that helped me (I believe her name was Fawn) was amazing. The facilities were beautiful and clean. We stayed in the Ayano-Kan annex so cannot speak to the rooms in the main building, but the annex was fantastic. We had dinner at the restaurant one night and the service was exceptional. The private onsen was the standout - super easy to dial in the perfect temperature, and loved that it's just always on and ready. Nothing better than coming back to the room when it's slightly cold and rainy outside, and being able to immediately soak in the onsen.

The only thing that could have been slightly better was shuttle availability. We had a group of 10, and multiple times we had troubles getting multiple ubers/taxis to get us some place. Not a huge deal most of the time, but if something is time dependent (train schedules or dinner reservations) it can make you a little nervous. If Laforet had a non-stop shuttle going anywhere you need, it would be the icing on the cake.

Room was not ready for 3 people, when we asked why, we got sn answer to take the futon from the closet and make it our selves, Food is kind of basic

The view from the breakfast room and our room was fantastic. Our onsen on the balcony was really nice, too. The breakfast had many options and if you like Japanese food then you’ll like the buffet.

The room was too small for four people. We travelled with our kids and once the futons were on the floor, we was too messy. That’s also because there is. I space for clothes etc so you had to have your suitcase on the floor too and couldn’t unpack. There was mold around the AC which is probably hard because of the super high humidity during August, but a hotel this expensive must clean it regularly. And we chose „light cleaning“ which meant the staff did not even take the dirty cups and glasses out of the room. They only but new towels and onsen clothes, the two things we could have used a second day easily. The service during breakfast was okay but not good, there was always something that needed to be refilled and we had to ask. Last breakfast slot is 9-9:30, they close at 10.
