Sole East Resort

The room was a nice size, the extra “closet/dressing room “ was a great place to put away suitcases, get dressed or even set up a mini work space. Bedding was comfy, The grounds are well maintained, beautiful. The lighting at night is magical. It was a 10 minute walk into town, which made it a quiet place away from the busy activities in town. The new feature of getting beach chairs and towels from the sister property, was a really nice added feature. The restaurant was pricy, but too be expected, it’s Montauk. My second time here, will make it an annual quick getaway.

Everything about this hotel is perfection. My absolute favorite place to stay!

We loved the location—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff was excellent and really made the stay enjoyable. The rooms are decent, though on the smaller side, and noise carries quite a bit, so you can hear neighboring rooms. The beds were comfortable, but the flooring felt a bit cheap. One improvement would be adding fans in the bathrooms, as they tend to get quite humid. The outdoor furniture also looked pretty worn and could use some updating. Overall, it felt pricey for what you get, but the location and great service help make up for some of the drawbacks.

The hotel website as well as Expedia lists the restaurant open for breakfast, the reason we booked the hotel. But was told upon arrival, that due to low capacity the restaurant would only be open for dinner. A most disappointing news.
