Hotel Ceilidh-donia

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to experience old Edinburgh. The property is very beautiful with lots of original finery. But honestly the best part of the stay was the staff. I've never met such lovely people and they really made the experience. My husband and I traveled to Edinburgh to eleope, so we had vendors coming to the hotel day of, and the hotel staff were so accommodating. The best part was after we left to go get married, I forgot my bouquet. I called the front desk and asked if they could send it in a taxi, I didn't even have to beg, they were totally on board to help. We found out the day after that the owner, Kevin, a super nice man, had just left the hotel when I called and was about to turn around to hand deliver my bouquet to me, but the front desk assured him it was resolved. Isn't that so nice?!? My best memories of Scotland were because of this hotel and the people in it.

Love the breakfasts and the plentiful offerings. Top floors are a huff so if you are limited on climbing stairs request 1st or second floor rooms.

It was a comfortable stay, near enough to walk to the major sights but far enough away from the busyness! We were well looked after including a packed breakfast for our flight home! We would definitely go back or recommend it.

Clean, comfortable and extremely welcoming. I was only staying for a couple of nights and would definitely stay again. The personal touch of Kevin is especially to be highlighted. Thanks for all you did
