The Westin Reserva Conchal, an All-Inclusive Golf Resort & Spa

Beautiful and tropical. Exotic enough to be interesting but familiar enough to be comfortable.

The room was actually pretty spacious and the bed was also surprisingly comfortable compared to what we usually experience. The pool was nice and we had a great time. The only complaint I have was with the check in. I had asked for the top floor, the girl said she assisted the top floor and when we got to our room, it was the bottom floor. Since we were there with another family and we were right by the pool area, I did not have the energy to complain or make a fuss. As for the restaurants, the only one that was not great was the Italian style. Our food arrived cold. All others were great. My favorite was the Mediterranean and the Asian.

The property and Costa Rica are beautiful. The staff were outstanding—professional, friendly, and clearly part of a well-run operation. The resort itself is well maintained overall, but the guest rooms are beginning to show signs that they need upgrades and more attention to maintenance. Our room had mold visible behind the wallpaper in the bedroom. While the air conditioning kept the room comfortably cool, it leaked a significant amount of water from the ceiling onto the tile floor, creating a slippery hazard. The bathroom sink also leaked, causing the same issue. Maintenance responded promptly each time we called, which was appreciated. They repaired the air conditioning leak, but the bathroom leak persisted. Because repairs required staff to enter the room while we were there in the evenings, after long days spent enjoying the beach and pool, we chose not to continue requesting service. Instead, for the last three days of our stay, we placed towels on the floor and worked around the leak as best we could. Despite these issues, my children and I enjoyed the resort's amenities. The food was better than expected for an all-inclusive property, the pool temperature was perfect, and the beach was absolutely stunning. We made many wonderful memories during our stay. The maintenance issues did detract from the overall experience, but the beauty of the property and the exceptional staff still made it a memorable vacation.

Everyone at the Westin was incredibly accommodating and made our stay truly memorable. Some of the restaurants require same-day reservations, which can be difficult to secure, but the restaurant captains, Ivan Elizando and Sady, went above and beyond to help us book reservations at three different restaurants. We also had wonderful experiences with our drivers, Brian and Mario, who were friendly and professional throughout our stay. The aqua fitness class led by Eduardo and Samuel was energetic, engaging, and a lot of fun. Ernesto, who checked us in upon arrival, took the time to thoroughly explain the resort’s activities, amenities, and everything we needed to know to make the most of our vacation. We’d also like to recognize several outstanding staff members for their exceptional service: Alonso Vasquez and Jeremi at Mitra Market, Denis Reyes from Mitra who served at the dessert bar, and Christian from Cauri. Each of them was attentive, welcoming, and helped make every meal enjoyable. The Westin is exceptionally family-friendly, offering a wide variety of activities such as a silent disco, coffee tasting, Kids Club, painting classes, and multiple pools, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Overall, my family had an amazing experience, and we would absolutely recommend the Westin to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
