Loved the location - view of the ocean, lots of lovely cafes nearby, right by the beach. We were in room 1, which was on the end downstairs and nice and quiet. Decent-sized, clean rooms. Loved the walk-in shower! The room had cutlery, utensils, crockery and microwave which was handy. Plenty of storage space. Easy parking. Bar and restaurant onsite so option for room service too. Would happily return!

After having stayed at East Pier many times I was disappointed with the fact in order to view even free to air TV, one needed to know one’s logins and also for other platforms. The enjoyment of coming home after a night out, the part of climbing into bed and switching on the TV is now not an option without logging in. We also had to pay to watch Supercars and the All Blacks. Concerning also, was to see someone’s email address at the login. Privacy issues I would imagine.
