Very welcoming and accommodating. We had a delicious dinner and cosy stay in our tatami room. In the morning, the onsen was perfect under the autumn trees before we left to explore Nikko. The hotel is very close to a bus stop, and therefore quick to get to the sites. You can also catch a bus the opposite way over to the lake and hiking spots.
