Belle Athenes - Luxury Rooms at Monastiraki Railway Station

We loved this hotel, the location, the room, and the staff. Alex checked us in and provided us with such a wonderful warm welcome, he is such an asset to this hotel. The cleaners were also lovely and did a great job each day. Our room on the third floor was modern, a good size, big bathroom, and had lovely balcony that you could sit out on. This also provided a nice breeze with the doors open. The room had everything we needed, tea and coffee facilities with a jug and coffee pod machine, water in the fridge etc Wifi worked well. The location is great, walking distance to the train (4 mins), so many restaurants, cafes and shops. We had an easy walk (15 mins) to the Acropolis to start our tour at 7.45am (book the early tour!) Breakfast at the cafe next door was fabulous! It was far more than we expected with a choice of 12 different breakfast options to start your day - very delicious food and coffee! We have been travelling for 6 weeks so far and this hotel has been an absolute stand out!

The location is SUPERB! Walking distance from almost everything. The room was very clean and most importantly quite (despite being very close to restaurants with loud music). The staff was kind. The breakfast at the nearby coffee place was nice to start the day.

We had to use a key to open the door since the code system did not work. Not a big deal yet still less friendly.

Athena at the front desk was truly amazing. Organising cabs and helping with planning. She is a gem and asset to the business. Well done to her for her commitment to customer service.

The property was difficult to get a cab to as cab drivers don’t like the location due to the amount of traffic in the area. The tap In the kitchen was loose and needed fixing. It is noisy from street noise. Which is vibrant but can be disturbing. The sky lights in ceiling have no blinds therefore the light wakes you early.
