The location is really good, just over the street from the beach. The breakfast is really good too. And last, but not least, the staff is absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
This is not something the hotel can manage, but there are monkeys nearby (there are signs everywhere to be aware of them) and in our first night they somehow managed to get on the roof and we got quite a fright in the middle of the night.

The breakfast was outstanding, with 3 courses. It was an excellent location for getting a Grab taxi, due to the nearby Padang-Padang Beach, but it was away from the noisier areas of Uluwatu
Monkeys stole a bikini top from the balcony overnight (though there are plenty of warnings about leaving things on the balcony)

Pokoje ładne schludne i oryginalnie urządzone łazienki. Dobre śniadania, obsługa bardzo pomocna.

It was quite basic in design, but it was nice. There were restaurants and shops walking distance.
As we first pulled up to the property, our driver yelled “where do I park?” and he was completely justified in doing so. The property is on a busy street, and is situated in such a way that there’s really no way for a driver to pull over unless they are halfway into that busy street. It made the process of checking in and checking out very precarious and a bit scary. Also, this location offers zero Balinese or Indonesian food on their menu, which hints to the type of tourists they are used to hosting.
More on tourists: This next bit is really more specific to this area of Bali, for anyone visiting for the first time - know that while Bali as a whole is heavily touristed, Uluwatu has a specific vibe about it that tends to attract a certain…type…of tourist. The mean type. So the way you’ll be treated at a place like this is going to be different – they’re nice, they’re trying, but I feel like everybody in the service industry in this area is heavily abused by 80% of the tourists who come through, so it’s a fear-based nice, and it’s kind of sad.
There are great things to see in Ulu – the Kecak & Fire Dance at the Uluwatu Temple at sunset was definitely the highlight of our visit to this area. The beach at sunrise is stunning. But I was really looking forward to that laid-back, chill, beachtown vibe that I have enjoyed in many surfer towns around the world, which I had read exists in Uluwatu as well. With a majorly busy road running right down the middle and rude, obnoxious, inconsiderate tourists at every turn, I don’t see how it’s possible for anybody to relax here.
