Salmon Weir Lodge

The property is in a great location to walk into town and then through the woods and nearby castle. Rachael greeted us warmly and explained how everything worked. Rachael is a considerate and knowledgeable host who takes care of all people who stay there equally. The room was beautiful, warm and comfortable. We slept very well. There is a lovely lounge area for sitting quietly to read a book. Rachael provided a delicious breakfast that is different every morning. Nothing is too much trouble for her. I couldn’t recommend this lodge more highly.

Everything was perfect

We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend it. The family accommodation was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated, with a lovely communal lounge area and self-service tea and coffee. Breakfast was excellent and really well presented. One thing we hadn't appreciated before booking was just how beautiful the location is. The B&B is right on the river and surrounded by forest, so it's incredibly peaceful. Our son particularly loved going out to feed the ducks every morning. Racheal is a brilliant host and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. A lovely place in a gorgeous setting and somewhere we'd happily stay again.
