A lovely hotel, staff and food fabulous. Would of been to have air conditioning in the room. Hottest week and fan did very little to cool us down.

Great stay but HOT! We've stayed at Old Thorns a few times but sadly I won't be staying again during summer. There is no air conditioning in the rooms and the fan provided (had to request it) was quite rubbish.
Our room, apart from being hotter than the sun, was great though. Massive bed and lots of room around it. Had a few issues, such as the phone not working to enable us to request a fan, lack of fridge and very dusty/dirty up-lighters.
We really enjoyed the pool area and being able to read a book on the loungers.

A very pleasant mid week, very good value break in a very good resort. Swimming pool and health suite sizeable and excellent. Nice large standard double room with powerful shower. Very good, well stocked buffet breakfast. Only a one night stay so no time for golf but will definitely be back to try this
