La Mision Loreto Hotel

We stayed in a nice large ocean front room with very effective AC (thank heavens) up on the 4th floor, good views, comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast. There is a nice water front side walk that goes either to the Marina (and beyond) or down to a stretch of mostly sand beach. The only "complaint" would be a few of the local fishermen heading to work seemed to love driving by at 4:30-5:30 AM with windows open and music turned up very loud. Weekends had the same thing going on with the locals cruising up and down the short water front road to be seen and heard by their friends- a local tradition that the hotel is not at all responsible for, just a head's up for first time visitors like ourselves.

Clean room, great A/C in room. Breakfast buffet was great. Staff friendly and helpful.

Excellent view of the ocean. Very peaceful and quiet. I highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel.

The surrounding area of Loreto requires some time to truly take in, having a hotel you can feel comfortable in is key. It second stay went smoothly as the rooms here were stunning. The architecture felt classic but refreshed and the updates were surely pleasant. The room was decorated and brought a romantic feel. It didn't have refrigerators so that was rather frustrating. The staff, primarily the front desk, had moments of misinformation, guiding us in a wrong direction, but got the job done for the most part. We never got to use their pool and BBQ area as it was just way too hot but the restaurant inside was a true treasure including the waiters and chefs.
