The Coho Oceanfront Lodge

Such a gem! The Coho was a fantastic respite on our long coastal road trip. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The view from our balcony was wonderful. Just what we needed. We’ll definitely stay there again.

Very clean and nice location, the fire pits didn’t work that’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars.

The hotel definitely was renovated from what I feel like was a pretty dated hotel from years past but they did a really great job sprucing it up. Our room was on the first level which gave us a walk out patio to the lawn and fire pit area (which we loved). The patio door was definitely aged and could use to be replaced but we enjoyed the walk out nonetheless. But if you’re looking for privacy, maybe not stay on the first level as other visitors will be walking on the grass outside your room as well. It’s also dog friendly so there were a lot of people walking their dogs and giving them potty breaks on the lawn right outside our room. The bathroom could use an update but if you’re ok with just a nice clean shower and toilet (which we were), this will work for you. When we checked it, we were given ground coffee for our room coffee press which was an excellent touch. The location is perfect with a short walk to get down to the beach. The views are spectacular with a front row seat to a great sunset. I would say this hotel is definitely not a high end property but it was perfect for the price, location, views, cleanliness, and nice room updates. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend to our friends.
