Fantastic stay in a historic monastery still occupied by the Order of the Augustine Nuns. Helpful bilingual staff, beautiful accommodations, great meal and variety of activities available. Minor items of note - while breakfast was included, all other activities are not included in the room fee. There is also a side entrance that cuts time getting to the Upper Town, but you sort of have to find it on your own.

This was a wonderful experience. It was very relaxing. Everyone seemed so kind. The other guests also seemed nice. The hotel has its own ethos - very relaxing and respectful. It is a beautiful historical building, and a real treat to be able to stay in it. I had a single room with a single bed, just like the nuns had. That is what I had wanted - to share the experience. Other rooms are available, but I wanted the authentic experience.

AMAZING hotel experience!! An absolute highlight of my trip!!! I stayed with a friend in an “authentic” room with two twin beds. The beds were SO comfortable and the room was perfectly clean. I was worried about the “shared bathroom” situation, but there were 6 bathrooms that locked, so once inside, it was private with huge shower, great water pressure, and amazing spa-quality soaps! The “silent breakfast” is worth adding to your stay: the food is delicious, healthy, varied, high-quality, and a peaceful way to start your day! The hotel is close to everything: exit out the back door and you’re half a block off Rue Saint-Jean with all its shops and restaurants. DEFINITELY take the historical tour of the monastery (one hour, offered daily, free with your stay). So fascinating, and made the experience even more special. We stayed here two nights at the beginning of our trip before traveling north, then returned to Quebec City and stayed in a different hotel—I regret not returning to the monastery for that final night of our trip. SUCH a special hotel, I’d absolutely return and recommend it to anyone traveling to Quebec City!!!
