Unfortunately there was loud music locally but this was not the fault of the hotel

Beautiful old colonial style hotel, very well maintained, excellent friendly and efficient staff who looked after us extremely well (particularly San San Win, Ashok and Saylohid) and a very good convenient location

Beautiful heritage hotel with great service. The staff were very helpful. The room was lovely, with high ceilings and period decoration. As we were there during low season, breakfast was cooked to order, and there were plenty of Western and local options to choose from, including fresh fruit, eggs, etc. Nice pool and gardens. The hotel is only 10-15 minutes walk from sights such as Patuxai, Wat Sisaket and the riverfront (although Vientiane is not great for walking due to the traffic and the broken or obstructed pavements).

There was noise at night from some nearby bars playing loud music until 2am. Perhaps a room facing the other direction would have been quieter.
