Wayside Guesthouse

Perfect location in the heart of the Old Town, ideal for exploring the area on foot. Jackie is very welcoming, helpful, and always available. The breakfast is delicious, varied, and of great quality. A really pleasant stay!

The bathroom is a little dated, but it’s perfectly adequate and does the job just fine.

Quite a well placed location and a quick drive from the airport. The rooms were nice and big. The breakfast that was included in the price was very generous. The owner, Jackie, is a cat lover and we felt right at home as we had to leave our 2 boys behind, and had 3 surrogate cat children for the weekend.

Maybe a kettle in the room. I like a coffee in the morning as I wake up without having to stumble down stairs to get a cuppa

Wonderful guesthouse. Would recommend it 100% the rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The owner is super sweet and the breakfast is incredible!

The place is clean and quiet and they prepare a nice breakfast. They take care of details like you can take water and instant coffee every time you want.

If you value your independence, this place might feel a bit uncomfortable as the host constantly monitors guests and corrects their behaviour, creating a tense atmosphere. They have a strict no-shoes policy which I can understand but is impractical, especially when walking on asphalt between areas. The bathroom lacks a shower tray and you need to take a shower together with the wc, so everything gets wet. We couldn’t leave luggage after check-out. In my opinion, guests shouldn’t be micromanaged this way. If you work in hospitality, you can’t expect to control everything your guests do.
