🚧 COMMUNITY MARINA IMPROVEMENTS
Pelican Landing is currently improving its marina with a new dock and piling system with upgraded water and electrical service. Work is generally scheduled Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with no regular weekend work currently scheduled.
Disruption from the project has been relatively limited to date, although guests may experience some general construction activity or noise during weekday work hours.
Completion is anticipated in mid-October 2026. Nightly rates during this period have already been adjusted to account for the marina improvements.

Our location is ideal for exploring Key West by foot or bicycle—everything is close by! Many guests also enjoy renting electric carts, which are widely available on the island, and we can accommodate plug-in access if needed. You really won’t need a car unless you're driving down Route 1 from mainland Florida. Lyft and Uber are also readily available throughout the area for added convenience.

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. The base rate includes up to 6 guests. A maximum of 8 guests is permitted. Guests 7 and 8 are charged $100 per person, per night and must be added to the reservation before arrival.

This is a very spacious unit with a great balcony and comfortable furnishings (good mattresses, etc.). The building is older and showing some wear but inside the unit is quite nice. We found the view of the marina to be enjoyable as boats came and went. The parking was super convenient, a big deal in Key West. Very nice kitchen. We had some minor issues with the wifi dropping connections at one point but the owners were very responsive and the problem was addressed. Overall I felt the communication was excellent. One thing to be aware of-- it's not what I would call walking distance to old town and Duval St, particularly on a hot day, but we had no problems finding public parking (pay) near those attractions and didn't find this to be a limitation. Last comment: using the direct access to Mac's (a well-regarded local restaurant/bar) was convenient and we used it multiple times for a meal or drink.

The location comes with some trade‑offs: the fire and police station across the street brings occasional nighttime noise, and the pool is fully shaded after early afternoon. The unit itself is spacious and well‑suited for larger groups, and the beds were comfortable with a nicely maintained interior. What concerned us most, though, was the lack of security. The elevator key pad was extremely worn, making it easy to guess the combination, and the condo unit door had no deadbolt or interior lock. I contacted the host about this but did not receive a response. While the space itself is generous and the interior pleasant, the overall stay didn’t feel as secure or responsive as we had hoped for the price.
