Black Market Hotel

The view from the top floor is beautiful. I also loved the decoration of the hotel. The staff was very nice and friendly. The location is perfect. You are very close to everything you might want to see in Ischia.

There were ants in the bathroom and the bathroom door didn’t shut all the way.

The single room was so well thought out with design. It didn’t feel cramped at all. Freshly made bed & towels & options to purchase snacks & drinks in the mini fridge. The view to the porto was fabulous. The first morning I awoke to the sunrise. Stunning! Ask for the special coffee too!!!

Cool retro styled hotel within walking distance of the port / town so well placed for local transport to explore island. Breakfast was €8 extra but worth it before you started your day exploring. Well priced and would recommend 👍🏻

The bed is very small and only accessible on one side, and like most beds in Italy, much too firm. If I was staying more than one night I would have asked for a topper. Fantastic view, but the host speaks little English, and although he is friendly and does his best, we couldn’t chat much. I left a few messages giving my arrival time and asking if there was a shuttle to the hotel or how far it was and did not get a response before arrival. I had to wait 20 minutes before my room was ready, and the wifi wasn’t working until I mentioned it and he plugged in the connection. Fairly close, easy walk from the ferry port, uphill about ten minutes. If you had luggage (I’m only overnight so a small bag) it might be a bit of work to pull your luggage. Very funky decor, lots of great art books (all in Italian) and a cool artist/gardener vibe to this place.
