White Swan Hotel

Excellent location in town centre, great breakfast and very comfortable beds.

No lift, not very disabled access

Bit noisy as there were roadworks happening Room was lovely and big but a bit tired. Aerial on TV broken

Very Central location, lovely big room with everything you need. Even at the front of the building we had a good sleep

It was only an overnight but no problems

Location was a big plus. Staff were friendly Dining room was very grand and well set out.

Quite a lot of stairs(3 lots) to get to our room and no lift - they did indicate this when booking but no indication was given of just how many stairs there were. People cleaning rooms just dumped clean bedding and towels on the floor in the hallway. This did not suggest a serious attitude to hygiene. Breakfast was barely satisfactory for vegan or vegetarian guests. Very few options in all areas compared to all other hotels we have stayed out during a 5 week trip. No fridge or safe in rooms No way to modify temp in your own room - appears to be done centrally. We could not park on site either night. Fortunately there was a free car park behind the hotel.
