The Plough

Great restaurant. Where else can you find a Texas Barbeque in small town England -- and they did it right. Breakfast too was quite good. Rooms were large and well appointed. This is a throw back hotel, well managed and reminiscent of days past when you could get a room at a PUB in England. Well worth the experience. Parking was free and in a private lot behind the facility. A little tight getting in and out but quite convenient.

My goodness, my 90 year old Mother in Law and my rickety 77 year old body just had troubles climbing all the stairs up to the 4th level (3d floor).

Very close to centre of Alnwick and the playhouse theatre staff very helpful. Toiletries and extras very good

Shower was not the best Room was small Pleased dogs were not allowed in bedrooms

Great location, good parking, nice food and staff very friendly

Central location great to get around Alnwick. Comfortable

No one manning overnight. Stay was very noisy. Other guests were up till 4am and very loud and there was no staff to remind guests to be quiet and have consideration for other guests. We were unable to get a good nights sleep before heading off on a very long planned walk the next day
