Relax and unwind in the stunning purpose built lodge, just outside the heritage town of Ardara. Hidden in the Donegal countryside and overlooking a lake, the Hidden Lodge offers the ultimate 'get away from it all' experience.
This beautiful space is meticulously designed and comfortably accommodates up 4 people and has a fully equipped modern kitchen for self catering. The enclosed entrance porch with outdoor seating, allows guests uninterrupted views of the beautiful surrounding landscape.
The space
The lodge is warm and inviting, with electric heaters and a wood burning stove to gather around and enjoy. There are books and local guides available in the lodge and beautiful artefacts throughout, including fabrics designed by Charlotte who owns the lodge.
Apart from the adjacent cottage, which is also available, guests are left to enjoy the space and tranquillity on their own. There are great walks just on the doorstep and views of the Blue Stack Mountains in the distance.

Ardara is the nearest town to the lodge, just 4 kilometers away. It's a vibrant and bustling town known for the many festivals held throughout the year. There are blue flag beaches, a golf course, superb pubs and restaurants all to be found within a few mins drive of the town, for more information, check out the towns website at ardara.ie.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage offers inspiring views and cozy lodging with many lovely touches from the decor to the linens. Host was very responsive. Highly recommend.

The property is beautifully designed. There is great attention to detail. It is also well equipped, homely and comfortable. We loved returning there after a day out. It was very special sitting on the balcony with the binoculars taking in the beautiful views. Thank you Charlotte for a wonderful stay!

The view was spectacular, anyone wanting to really get away from the hustle and bustle of the world would find it the perfect spot . The lodge was beautiful inside , very cosy and clean . The decor was very tasteful and elegant. The amenities were mostly excellent apart from a few tiny issues ( we had to buy a pack of dish cloths as didnt always want to use dishwasher) and a bigger inside bin would be handy . The beds were very comfortable and linen pristinely clean . The one real negative I feel compelled to mention is the road up to the lodge . It’s probably a quarter of a mile of potholes , overgrown brambles and loose gravel . My brother drove and had just gotten a new car .. as you can imagine.. he was not best pleased having to traverse that everyday . It did put a bit of a dampener on our spirits … especially as he had drove 3 hours to get there . We understand that paving a road that length would be a very costly undertaking but even filing the bigger potholes and trimming the more aggressive brambles would’ve helped. It was a shame about the road as the lodge itself was lovely . Genuinely hope the owner reads this and takes it into consideration.
