Karona Resort & Spa - SHA Extra Plus

The location near Kata village was perfect. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very nice, we really liked it! Near the kata village with many restaurants and really close to the Karon beach. We really enjoyed our stay! Also in terms of location pretty much a good choice to reach the other parts of the island - we liked that it was a less busy part and could still reach all around generally via taxi which was very convenient. Area very safe and not too much to walk from the nearby village.

Nothing to note. If at all some more choice on breakfast would add more to the lovely experience.

The hotel was on the hillside, many steps with no elevator. The furnishing was old, worn out, the pictures on booking.com look way better than reality. Beds were uncomfortavle, rock hard mattress, the whole bed moved when turning. The water sometimes stoped working, especially at night. Our toilet broke the last day of our stay, with the pipe bursting and flooding the whole bathroom. The toilet was not working properly even before, so this was the last drop.
