We absolutely loved our stay at Anantara Koh Yao Yai. The property itself is stunning — peaceful, beautifully maintained and surrounded by the most incredible scenery. 🌴🤍 The pools and beach were beautiful, and the whole resort had such a relaxed, luxurious feel. Our room was gorgeous and the views were amazing. We also loved the food and the variety of options available throughout our stay. What really stood out to us was how peaceful the resort felt. It was the perfect place to slow down, switch off and spend quality time together. We left feeling completely relaxed and already talking about when we can come back. 🥹🌴 Such a beautiful property and a very special part of our Thailand trip.

The only real downside for us was having to pay for bottled water at the restaurants. We would have expected complimentary drinking water, especially at a resort of this standard. It would have been a small touch that would have made the experience even better.

The resort is beautifully designed and maintained, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The staff of the hotel is amazing, super friendly and always willing to help you and make you feel comfortable during your stay. The main pool is beautiful, the water slides in the family pool kept my kids busy and happy for hours. The kids club is very good as well, especially for rainy days. Breakfast is very good as well. The lounge before the boat trip in Phuket made the experience of traveling quiet seamless.

I think the downside is there’s nothing near the hotel, so you are limited to eating lunch and dinner and snacks in the hotel, or taking a taxi every time you want something else. The prices of food and beverages in the hotel are quieter high for Thailand. Also it would be nice to have a place to sit and have a drink right on the (beautiful!) beach in the evening, maybe a beach bar or something similar.

We truly appreciate the stunning beaches, the management’s personal care, and the staff's outstanding hospitality, but given the high prices and persistent disruptions, there is significant room for improvement to match the resort's premium positioning.

Our stay at Anantara Koh Yao Yai was a mixed experience. On a positive note, the resort staff and the management team were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and made genuine efforts to ensure we felt welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay. However, as a family booking 3 rooms for a peaceful luxury vacation, our overall experience fell short of expectations: Disruptions & Facilities: Out of our 5-day stay, 3 days were heavily impacted by continuous heavy construction noise near our rooms, unannounced power outages, and safety issues with worn furniture. Value for Money: The pricing across the resort is extraordinarily high—not just relative to Thailand, but even compared to some of the most expensive luxury destinations worldwide. We truly appreciate the management’s personal care and the staff's outstanding hospitality, but given the high prices and persistent disruptions, there is significant room for improvement to match the resort's premium positioning.
