Ambleside Manor - Vegetarian B&B

Being vegan, I really appreciated the vegetarian aspect of this Manor. Great location, short walk into the main streets of Ambleside. Lots of parking. The entire property was beautiful, the breakfast rooms were lovely, our room in particular, was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and helpful, most particularly recommending us to Zefferelli's for dinner the first night - superb vegan/vegetarian friendly restaurant.

We didn't care for the location of our room, which was on the first floor overlooking the carpark. To have privacy, we had to have our heavy curtains closed any time we were in the room - which made it dark and a little depressing. Also, there was a family with a toddler above us, and understandably due to the age of the property (no soundproofing back then), it sounded like a herd of elephants running above our heads whenever they were in the room. I would most definitely ask for a room with no one above in the event that little ones are about.

Great location for walking in the Lake District, which was the purpose of the trip. Ambleside a short walk into town. Breakfast was fantastic. Room was comfortable. Lounge for general guest use.

It’s an excellent place to stay and breakfasts are excellent.

Location was really fantastic for town and easy to find, pleasantly kept styled and view from room was spectacular as sun rose and thankfully quiet from road noise during busy days -room warm and clean

No hairdryer not enough cups in room for number of guests. Light on outside window all night and air on from other rooms too noisy. Would expect a fridge for price and more veggies related products activity advertised. Not cool staff all left at 1800
