Casa da Avó - City Center - Private Bedrooms

Very good location and clean room.

Nothing per se. Just felt that the bathroom, even though, could be equipped with a couple of practical things like a shelf in the shower cubicle to keep bottles (also since they don’t provide body wash and shampoo) and pegs to hang clothes. Also, just two plug points in the room and not at all in convenient places - for example, far from the bed / bed side table.

Great location, 5’ walk from the heart of Lagos. The common areas where always clean. The fact that there’s not that many rooms helped to make the space pretty quiet(meaning a good rest). It is noticeable that the building is well maintained. We were a bit worried about the comments from past guests about the hostel next to the house, that it was noisy. But honestly, it was not a problem at all. There’s a neighborhood rule where it’s not allowed to make noise after 22hs and it was respected our whole stay(we stayed for 10days) Jorge’s mother was taking care of the cleaning and she was always greeting us with a warm smile.

Just constructive criticism: maybe softer pillows, and to change towels every 3 days would be better than just once during a long stay as ours(it’s quite difficult to air them out without a balcony) - for the ones reading this and considering to stay, the other rooms had a balcony, so maybe you can request those.

Bliskość do centrum. Czystość!!! Duża współdzielona, dobrze wyposażona kuchnia. Dobry i szybki kontakt z właścicielem.

Jeśli ktoś oczekuje ładnego widoku z dużego balkonu to pokój nr2 nie będzie odpowiedni. Balkonik mały, ale obcuje się za to, z jednym z XVI wiecznych zabytków Lagos, kościołem św. Bernarda :-) Trudno w sezonie znaleźć miejsce parkingowe w pobliżu Casa da Avo, ale koło muru obronnego jest wielki, bezpłatny parking (ok. 350m)

L'emplacement, l'accueil des hôtes, l'accès à la cuisine.

Plusieurs sujets: - l'insonorisation, nous entendions absolument tous les autres clients, de la cuisine aux chambres ainsi que la rue, donc peu d'intimité - matelas dure et pas reposant - l'absence de gel douche (ma faute certainement je pensais que c'était inclus) - le parking mentionné est en fait un parking de ville accessible à 5/7 min à pieds
