Amor Resort Koh Rong

I had a great stay at Amor Resort. After the hustle and bustle of Phenom Penh and Siem Reap it was just the tonic I needed. The pool is fantastic, and there is plenty of space to lounge on the beach between swims. My room was spacious (one of the bigger hotel rooms I’ve had), cool and well appointed. The food was of very good quality, I had the red curry twice!!! I recommend going on a half day tuk tuk tour of the island, Long Beach is stunning. Also, a shout out to Toby the manager. A really top fella. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was always friendly and willing to help out whenever asked.

Nothing I didn’t like

The bungalow we stayed in was very well kitted out and a very short walk down the hill to the pool, bar and beach.

Without wanting to sound super critical there were a couple of things that let down the overall experience. We didn’t have anything approaching hot water for the 3 days we were there - warm was about the best we ever received. There were a couple of other things such as having to go down to reception as we didn’t have any towels one day, and our friends we went with had a safe that didn’t work, and we’re also castigated for them also addressing the fact that there was no hot water.
