What a great little find this is, If you're looking for a place for 2, restful surroundings, 5* accommodation (it was mint) and an opportunity to explore a wonderful area of Gers in SW France, Baracca des Papillons is it. The accommodation provides all you need from a practical point of view but is done to perfection. Thank goodness there was a lovely saltwater pool to get up to enjoy as the bed was so comfy and the nighttime soooo quiet you couldn't be blamed for the odd sleep-in.... Add to this the 7 hectares of land, filled with grass flower meadows woodland and grape vines that is at your disposal to take in a stroll morning or evening, equally blissful. Our hostess Celine and husband Phillipe were so very helpful, nothing was too much trouble and Celine was great with our little puppy who was smitten and he would sit outside her front door each morning waiting for cuddles. Lots of lovely places to visit in easy reach, don't miss Larreessingle, beautiful village and ice cream that must not be missed, (best ever). There are others too if you can tear yourself away from the pool. Our only disappointment was we only booked one week!! We hope to be back very soon. Debbie, Adrian & Truffle, Devon UK
