IARSERA rooms and apartment

We loved Lucca, our first time in this beautiful old city with excellent places to eat, and an enjoyable walk along the city walls . Small enough to get around in a day. We also really liked the cleanliness and comfort of the room. It was great to have air conditioning and a free parking space. Carlo, our host, went out of his way to recommend restaurants and places to visit, which we used.

It was all great. We did have a little bit of a walk into the city( 15 minutes ) but we were happy to have the parking spot which may not have been possible closer in.

Carlo ist ein hervorragender Gastgeber, der sich mit sehr viel Mühe um seine Gäste kümmert. Er hat tolle Tipps für die Stadt und ist immer für einen erreichbar. Die Unterkunft an sich ist ebenfalls hervorragend, sie ist neu renoviert, einfach zu erreichen und man ist schnell in der Stadt.

I had a feeling we would find somewhere good in my favourite city in Tuscany. The place itself was chosen by my daughter, who is very hard to please when it comes to how clean a room is. Neither my affection for this city and its people nor her eye let us down. Carlo has several rooms for guests, all modern and tastefully furnished: a private bathroom in each, proper air conditioning, a fridge, a kettle, a wardrobe and remote-controlled blinds. You get in with a keycard that also brings up the lights and the TV, Netflix included. I would put the standard at the level of a good, recently built three- or even four-star hotel, and for this location the price is very reasonable. The rooms are cosy , comfortable and spotless. The house is an eight-minute walk from Porta Sant'Anna and the walls of the old town. For getting around, I'd recommend the city's electric bikes, rehistration is simple and free of hassle — we found free ones 100 metres from the door, and the next day there they were again, almost outside the house. Carlo is a courteous and attentive host who will help with anything you need, from arranging a parking space to sharing his extensive knowledge about the history of the city, what is worth seeing and where to eat well. What stayed with us most is this: all through our stay we had the feeling that Carlo takes real pleasure in looking after his guests. He does far more than take the payment and hand over a key. We felt properly looked after from the first day to the last.
