The hotel was reasonably priced and was relatively close to the Royal Mile. Staff were friendly and helpful. The one thing that did bother me was that their coffee maker had been broken for some time and they didn't appear to be in any hurry to fix it.

Hotel was not in the type of neighborhood I expected. My room (96) on the 0 floor required me to go through two closed doors. The hall lights were motion activated and stepping into a dark, closed hall was a little unnerving. 1 front desk person was very nice, all others were pretty disinterested. Although my room was fine, I heard many other guests complain about maintenance issues.
The free breakfast consisted of either croissant or chocolate roll. They said juice, but in four days I never saw any. You had to be there early or they ran out as they were first come, first serve.
If anyone was making noise in a nearby room you could hear all the noise
All in all, I would not stay there again.
