We had a very relaxing week-end there, enjoying the pool and the stunning views of Montepulciano and Monte Amiata. The restaurant is a stand out! We dined under the trees and loved the menu which is interesting, both traditional and creative…well executed and presented. The staff was attentive and professional. All for a very fair price! Would gladly go back! PS: awesome friendly cats around the property…for cat lovers!

La Chiusa is beautiful, staff are very nice and the location fantastic; views from the property and situated next to Montifollonico with access to grocery store, pharmacy and super local restaurant (13 Gobbi). Rooms had a fridge but no kettle, coffee maker or even cups or glasses which was odd and would make a big positive difference so that you can make a hot drink or sip your own wine while enjoying the view!
If you’re a foodie you will love the onsite restaurant, but it is a limited menu so a couple of visits will get you through it, but there is so much within sprucing distance you’ll want to get out anyway - so hire a car.

This is such a cute fun traditional Tuscan place to stay! Everywhere you look is an amazing view. The dinner was fantastic. The breakfast was delicious. The bed was super comfortable. The room, while rustic and vintage, was very nice. It was so peaceful and quiet! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the drive through Tuscany to get there. Bonus that it’s near Maximus’s house from the gladiator movie sights!
