Friendly staff, clean decent size room, convenient parking in front of room, close to Husavik.

The property was warm and clean and close to Húsavík without city prices. We loved meeting Bruno at breakfast and talking with the staff. We enjoyed our stay!

Saltvík Farm Guesthouse was a cute and comfortable place to stay. The room was clean, and we enjoyed our visit overall. Unfortunately, when I made the reservation, I accidentally booked for only one guest instead of two. We noticed the mistake the morning of our arrival and contacted the property right away. When we arrived, the room was still set up for one person, but the staff quickly corrected it. What was disappointing was being charged an additional 2,800 ISK for the second breakfast. Our reservation included complimentary breakfast, and the room rate said price based on double occupancy and the price was the same whether I booked for one or two guests, so I was surprised by the extra charge. While I understand the original booking error was my mistake, I was disappointed that there wasn’t a little flexibility after notifying them before we arrived. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay, but this experience left us a bit disappointed.
