What a beautiful setting, the grounds in which a magnificent building sat are incredible. Beauty is not in shirt supply here!. The building in which you stay Ashton Hall is overwhelming with grandure the high ceilings and old quirks that are sadly no longer a thing in modern builds.
I think that this place is a hotel second sadly it seemed to play second best to the golf course, a little bit of a bug problem lots of dead flies on the window cills and other places.

It was historical and the staff were lovely
There were numerous issues around cleanliness; which we discussed with a member of staff upon checkout. Which hopefully will be addressed for the next customer. Mattresses are in need of replacing; they were hard and dipping in the middle. There wasn’t a TV in the room which would’ve been an issue if we were staying more than 1 night. And they provided an ironing board but no iron - which amused us. The hotel is obviously focused on golf which is fine; however having a tv in your room in 2026 isn’t much of an ask I don’t think.
