I like unique boutique hotels, and this one leads the pack. Siituated on the grounds of a former jail this hotel property has both character and charm. Our rooms, though small, were well appointed. (there are larger rooms available). Breakfast was excellent. I would suggest a walk out the back of this hotel to have a look at the repurposed jail.

This was the last of our holiday and we were thankful we didn't need to get into our big bags as there would not be much space in our room to do this. If you need or prefer more space be mindful of the room you book, they do have larger ones. This hotel was in walking distance to the city centre for us, but it did take about 20 minutes. Another thing to be mindful of.

Love the room. Though it was small, the bed is really comfortable and the bathroom is big enough. We also love the facr that it is beside De Koepel building and the other tourist spots are quite near.

It can quite get noisy. Our room's window is in front of the rooftop restaurant of the hotel.

The hotel is in a superb position, very close to all amenities and easy walking distance if you didn't want to hire a bicycle. Breakfast was very tasty but overpriced. The reception staff were lovely. Ambiance of the hotel in the evening was lovely.

Booked as Andy but for Claire who was the one travelling. Hotel isn't clearly signposted so if your driver doesn't know where it is, might be a bit tricky! I was allocated a loft room. There were backless stairs to the bed, right at the end of the bed. Very steep and unpleasant at the best of times, but in the dark...absolutely petrifying. Bed was too soft.
