Domaine de Bayeux

Had a nice room with a comfortable bed and a bathroom with some space, which was not our experience elsewhere in France. The downtown area with shops and restaurants was just a short walk from the hotel. In the evening, after dinner in town, my wife and I would sit at a table outside our room, relax and enjoy the cooler temperature. The hotel had a self-serve breakfast buffet that had plenty of cold cuts, fruit, granola, crepes and croissants, but very few hot items. We would warmly recommend the place to anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting Normandy.

The Domaine is ideally situated for exploring not only Bayeaux, but also the Normandy area and the D-Day sights. The location could not be better--within walking distance of centre ville and all the restaurants and shops. There was private parking so we did not have to worry about parking the car. The room was exceptionally large and had a patio we could enjoy. We were there during the heat wave and were glad to have had AC. And the grounds were lovely, the garden making you think you were in the french countryside. Celine at reception was incredibly helpful and recommended two restaurants where we had what might have been the best meals on our trip. Could not say more positive things about this hotel.

Quiet and clean. Staff friendly and property is well kept. Serene atmosphere.

Lovely place to stay. Large, airy room looking on to apple trees. Walkable for excellent restaurants in central Bayeux and easy access to Normandy beaches. Very helpful staff
