This custom designed Hawaiian plantation style cottage is located just off the Brennecke's beach side of Poipu Beach Park, 100 steps to the beach!
This spacious house was designed and built in 2013 to be the perfect vacation retreat - its plantation style allows it to blend in with the historic neighborhood, while offering every modern luxury. Outside is a barbeque grilling area, a garden shower accessible from either the master bath or from outside, and under the Plumeria Tree is a landscaped 5 person hot springs style hot tub. Enjoy the 2 master, air conditioned, suites with plush king beds, flat screen TVs, pedestal tub, and outdoor garden shower, and full size front load washer and dryer. The open plan great room opens up to the large lanai with 22 feet of 8' high folding doors, and the 9 1/2 foot high walls, vaulted ceilings, large double hung windows, and ceiling fans keep the place breezy and cool. Both bedrooms are air conditioned to keep you comfortable all night long. The kitchen is equipped with a full sized french door refrigerator, whisper quiet dishwasher, gas range, walk-in pantry, granite counters, open shelving, and fully stocked. The sound system through out the living area as well as the lanai is set up for surround sound TV watching, listening to Pandora, or you can wirelessly listen to your own music collection from your smartphone. This was the best place we have stayed at as a family on the island (this was our third visit). The cottage is very charming, well maintained, clean and clear of clutter, and the kitchen was well appointed. We used the outdoor shower everyday and enjoyed evenings playing board games on the lanai. Brent was very responsive whenever we had a question. We will definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beach cottage. We hope we get to stay again in the future and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

WOW! We knew of this space from my Brother's Wedding in 2019. My aunt stayed here and we hadn't stopped thinking about it since. Brent was extremely responsive with all of my questions. He and Karen built such an oasis of a property in Poipu/Koloa. He didn't realize he ended up hosting the trip of a lifetime for my now fiancé and I. We arrived and shortly thereafter, I was proposed to on the cliffs of Shipwrecks beach! The rest of the week was a dream. Waking up each morning and walking down to the water for a quick dip to watch the sunrise, snacks Brennecke's and Puka Dog. We did a lot of exploring and driving on the island, this was a great place to return back to each night. This House is dialed with a massive kitchen and such special features. There's a stereo system, Apple TVs in all rooms. The outdoor shower and two other locations for washing feet off from the beach is a MUST! The Hot Tub was freshly cleaned as we arrived as well. Brent left an extensive binder of FAQ/Things To Do, which I greatly appreciated. I have been coming to Kauai since I was a kid, but always loving learning what locals prefer. Book the flights, book your stay here. You won't regret it. Mahalo again and again, Brent!

We stayed 6 nights in early May. In the afternoon and early evenings the west facing porch is stiflingly hot and humid. It was very pleasant in the morning and late evenings with a nice coastal breeze. The nearby beach is quite nice. After a day on the local beaches it would have been nice to come home to a cool house for dinner and relaxation. The living room and kitchen were oppressively hot and humid. Mowers and leaf blowers roared 2 of the 6 afternoons. Thank goodness there were wall mounted air conditioners in the bedrooms. We ate our dinner in the bedrooms for relief from the heat. This review is not all bad. The house was nicely equipped and clean with an outdoor shower to shake the sand.
