Located in the charming conservation area of Deal, Oak Street Cottage is an elegant townhouse located in the charming conservation area of Deal. Situated in a quiet side street just off the main promenade and beach, this comfortable holiday home is also just a few yards from both the buzzing high street with its delis, boutique shops and cafes and restaurants.
The cosy sitting room with wood burning stove leads into the dining room and kitchen, a downstairs cloakroom and utility room. Upstairs on the first and second floors are three bedrooms and a large family bathroom.
The enclosed garden is a lovely private, sunny space to relax in after a busy day sightseeing.

We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
Parties and loud music are not permitted.

A lovely house but, I suppose, like all houses it has some quirks. The old style loo is difficult to flush unless you have come across them before. I can’t imagine a child could do it. It can make a weird noise after you flush it but it can be stopped when you flush the

When I had a query about anything Keepers Cottages were super efficient and very helpful
Very central but in the older part of town which is definitely the nicest part and my favourite bit.

Arrival: 5/5, no problems.
Location: 5/5, perfect, 1 min from seafront and a couple of minutes from the shops on the high street and restaurants.
Cottage condition: 4/5, nice character consistent with the pictures, overall very good and clean. A couple of areas needing attention though: some of the stair handrails were loose which combined with the steep, tight staircase is not great for those with kids or mobility issues. Also, the countertop in the kitchen sink area needs replacement.
Amenities: 5/5, washer & dryer, good size fridge & freezer, dishwasher, microwave all in good order. No kettle however! Cleaning supplies were provided.
Bathroom: 5/5, both are modern and nice, main is a good size with an excellent shower. Plenty of nice bath towels.
Internet: 5/5, high speed.
Back Yard: 2/5, could be a nice space but needs some TLC to remove weeds and pigeon droppings. Disappointing, we didn't use it as much as we would have because of this.
We did not have a car so not sure about ease of parking / competition for spaces.

The property was totally satisfactory. We had a few issues with operating the heating system when we arrived in winter and it took a few days to get help with regulating it, but after that, system worked well.
The location is great for pedestrians, close to the beach and also to shops.
Nicely decorated cottage, and stairs are good. The TV was not a smart TV as far as we knew, so we had limited streaming.
Kitchen well equipped and a larger fry pan was provided when we asked for one.
A new hose also provided but we never figured out how to attach and use it.

The place was great to stay in, had everything you would need the bedroom was up some steepish stairs I have mobility issues (was warned beforehand) and found it a bit awkward the steps into the property were a bit difficult for me but if you have mobility issues, you'll find this property ideal for location for restaurants etc
