Caspia is located just inside the gated community of the St. George Plantation and welcomes guests to access multiple beach boardwalks, bicycle/walking/multi-use paths, nature trails, access to Bob Sikes Cut, fitness center, 2 Olympic sized swimming pools plus tennis and pickleball courts! Although in a secluded location, you are just 30 minutes by car to local restaurants, nightlife, St. George Lighthouse Museum and playground, fishing pier and State Park, historic Apalachicola's shops, restaurants and arts scene. Caspia truly delivers the best of the Forgotten Coast!
The first floor offers the majority of the sleeping quarters. Two primary bedrooms are on the beach side of the property, 1 with king bed and the other with 2 queens, flat screen smart TVs, master bathrooms and deck access with comfortable seating and a hammock for relaxing or napping. One king bedroom with a smart TV and 1 double over double bunk bedroom with a twin trundle, smart TV and DVD player. The shared hall bathroom located between the queen bedroom and bunk bedroom offers a double sink vanity. The stackable washer/dryer is located next to the shared hall bathroom.
The stairs take you up to our Grand Room, second (top) living floor that provides tons of open lounging and gaming space for your whole crew! Super comfy furniture throughout offers 180 degree spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico! Our final primary bedroom with king bed, smart TV and full bathroom with shower/tub combination is located on our second (top) living floor, just off our living room.
The fully stocked well equipped kitchen offers tons of counter space with 4 barstools, stainless appliances and a convenient stand alone icemaker. The dining table offers nearly 10 seats (2 benches & 2 chairs) along with additional table for gaming or eating that seats 4. The living area offers a smart TV, 2 large decks (1 screened and 1 open) overlooking the sugar white sand beaches and sparkling blue green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The couches are both pull out queen sleeper sofas for MOVIE night! Sleeping a total of 15 guests and welcoming up to 2 fur babies, Caspia is perfect for you.
The ground floor offers a super comfortable outdoor living space with an outdoor kitchen, comfortable seating, swing bed, outdoor TV, outdoor shower (hot/cold) & toiletry area. Travel down the private boardwalk to the beach OR the public boardwalk to the beach. Just before the end of the private boardwalk, there is seating and a foot wash station.

Pets are welcome with a $150 fee per pet. Optional pool heating is available for $75 per night.

I wish I could separate the issues prior to arriving from the actual property review. Vrbo apparently sold the listing 3rd party to st George Island vacations. The big total in bold print on the Vrbo website was price A. They take it out in 3 payments and those payments totaled 1311 more than what VRBo quoted as price A. I got it back, but not without a fight and 9 phone calls - arguing I only wanted to pay what I agreed to. And neither VRbo nor St George island vacations were wanting to do anything about the apparent “software glitch”. That said, the house was great. A little worn but had an excellent kitchen setup for cooking for a group. The living room area was large enough for all and the pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen area was perfect! Just 2 real negatives: I wish you were allowed to trim the dune bushes right outside the back so you could see the beach and not just the water and the room with the bunk beds was hotter than the others so bring a fan. I’d go back again ( this is my 6th visit to the Plantation) but next time I’d confirm my pricing added up before I committed.

This house was perfect! We loved having the pool as an option for the kids when the ocean was too rough. The elevator was great to help unpack. 10/10 on the air conditioning as we’ve all had experiences of homes being too hot at night to sleep comfortably. We loved this house.

The house was perfect and equipped with more than everything we needed. The ice maker didn’t work and would’ve been nice. It has mold in it btw. We were very comfortable and happy there during our inaugural annual blended family vacation. I think my only disappointment personally was the vegetation didn’t allow for a view of the beach.

Our annual Thanksgiving trip to SGI was wonderful this year. Caspia exceeded all expectations and we hope to stay here again next year. Loved the layout, under house area was the perfect area to hang out! Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner. Appreciated the kind voice on phone whenever we booked or had questions - forgot to get her name, but very helpful and kind!
