The hotel was close to bus and tram stops, a 10 minute walk to the Royal Mile, and our room had a great view of the castle.

The good: The location of this hotel is amazing. Everything that we wanted to do was within walking distance. There were tons of pubs and restaurants nearby and there was shopping within a short distance. The bus or tram from the airport runs down Princes Street which is very convenient.
Our room was clean and nicely appointed.
The NOT so good: this hotel is supposed to have breakfast and we pre paid for breakfast every day.
