The Barn Hotel

My colleagues and I stayed at the hotel this weekend as we were at an event at the NEC. The location was ideal as only a 10 minute drive. The hotel itself was lovely with really nice rooms. We unfortunately couldn't eat in the restaurant for dinner as our event finished too late on the Sunday but we did have the breakfast which was wonderful.

Just that dinner service on the Sunday finished too early so we missed it but it's understandable given the day of the week. Also breakfast on the Sunday morning was too late for us but luckily it started earlier on the Monday morning.

So clean and cozy really friendly helpful staff

The hotel was so beautiful! The room was gorgeous. Clean and spacious. The shower was powerful, the bed was comfy, the heating/aircon worked. The onsite bar/restaurant/deli was amazing. I had 2 breakfasts there, plus pizza one night and one meal in the restaurant. I was lucky enough to enjoy the beautiful beer garden as it got the sun into the evening which was a real bonus for early October!

I love the full length hanging space in the room but it would have been beneficial to have a drawer or shelf that wasn't the bedside. I'd also love a magnification mirror for make up. Oh, and some body lotion! The only major downside for me was the noise from the corridor. The doors just aren't quite thick enough, and though the hotel can't control guest conduct, I was surprised to be woken up at 1:30 am with people being loud in the corridors with it being such a tucked out of the way hotel rather than a city centre hotel. Some more soundproofing would be beneficial.

The finer touches were missing such as iron & ironing board also are rooms were not fully refreshed each day & some of the fixtures needed repairing
