The breakfast was excellent. There is no menu--you just tell them what you like, and out it comes beautifully plated and delicious. We were the only ones at breakfast a couple days. It felt very intimate. We were so glad we booked the car transfer from the ferry terminal. It made getting out of the ferry area and getting to the hotel SO much easier than it would have been. When they email to ask you if you want to book the car transfer (from the ferry or the airport), SAY YES! The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked really well, and we had a lovely terrace to sit on at night. The room was very spacious.

If you get the top floor room, you have a steep set of stairs ahead of you to get to it. The hotel helps with the bags, but just be aware. If you have any mobility issues, the top floor room ("studio with balcony," pictured with the sloping ceiling) is not for you.

My friend and I truly enjoyed our short stay at Boutique House Forty-Four. The room was just perfect! We had the charm of this beautiful medieval city with all the modern comforts. Emanuela went above and beyond helping us arrange airport transportation and even helping us with our bags in the rain! We were able to enjoy dinner in the restaurant one evening, and it was an unforgettable experience. We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return again one day!
