The property allows one to fully experience the character and class of Edinburgh. The flat is well appointed, richly furnished and Dahlia has a delightful kitchen which made our stay feel like home. The location is great, close enough to everything for an easy walk, but not in the chaos of the Royal Mile.
No issues with the property - just a note to say the cool spiral stair case up to the flat may not be for everyone.

This is a beautiful apartment, authentically transformed - the building is an old stone building and you can see this in the bathroom which has the exposed stone - stunning! Well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, fantastic location, very friendly and helpful owner, couldn’t ask for any more!
Local coffee shops literally next door and opposite - and the amazing chocolate tour just over the road is a must!
There’s not much not to like about this apartment. Two minor things that didn’t bother us at all but might be helpful to know : when you enter the building there is a stone spiral staircase to walk up two floors. We only had small cases so it wasn’t a problem for us, but if you have anyone with you that isn’t able bodied this would not be suitable.
And the other thing is obvious - you are on the Royal Mile, it is a little busy and can be noisy from cars and people - especially in the later hours of the evening on Friday and Saturday!
Neither of these things had a negative impact on our stay but are worth being aware of.

With too many emails we lost track of the codes. A last minute text with the codes would have helped.

A beautiful, stylish apartment in a great, central location at the end of the Royal Mile, minutes from Waverley Station and all the venues for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Military Tattoo. We loved staying there and can’t recommend it highly enough.
It was very clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need on arrival, from croissants to bread, butter, jam, tea, coffee, milk, porridge, biscuits etc. Even vegan milk and cheese for one of our party. Our host was incredibly helpful and friendly, checking several times that we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Edinburgh.
Visitors have to be prepared for the 40 steps up to the second floor apartment. We found them no problem at all.
