The house features a spacious living area, 3 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. Nestled in the heart of Milly-la-Forêt’s historic center, near its church, La Belle Époque is a charming three-story millstone house that has been completely renovated to blend authenticity with modernity. Upon arriving in the charming town of Milly, you’ll find plenty of parking spaces available around the property. Step through the arched doorway and past the stone wall to discover this gem of a house and its garden. Let the vacation begin! You’ll reach your home by climbing a few steps that lead to the terrace and its landscaped garden. Walk through an entryway with plenty of closets for clothes, shoes, and your daily belongings. As you step inside, you’ll be charmed by the cement-tiled entryway opening onto a spacious room that flows into the garden and terrace—a perfect spot to relax and enjoy your meals. The spacious layout offers a very pleasant and bright living area with high ceilings, combining a living room and dining area around a fully equipped kitchen featuring a refrigerator-freezer, a 5-burner gas stove, a conventional oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, and most essential small appliances such as a coffee maker, toaster, and electric kettle… not to mention, of course, the dishes and kitchen utensils to turn your meals into delightful culinary experiences. The light-filled dining area seats seven around a large table. In the living room, you’ll find a sofa and armchairs, as well as a flat-screen TV. The sleeping area on the first floor consists of a lovely master suite with a walk-in closet and a private shower room featuring a double sink. The bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and a desk. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms. A triple bedroom with an unobstructed view of the village, featuring a twin bed for two people and a single bed. This is also where you can work remotely thanks to the furnished office area. A twin bedroom suitable for both children and adults. Each bedroom has its own walk-in closet. Also on the first floor is a large bathroom with a bathtub and shower. On the lower level, there is a shower room. The house has three separate restrooms on each floor. Special care is taken to ensure the quality of the linens and bedding, as well as the housekeeping, which meet hotel standards for absolute comfort. The house is equipped with Wi-Fi. Of course, La Belle Époque is also known for its southeast-facing garden and terrace, which are furnished with everything you need to enjoy the mild, sunny days. Finally, for extended stays, a washer and dryer are reserved for your use in the entryway. You’ll have access to all common areas and their amenities. Private rooms are locked and off-limits. Your private entrance is through the main front door on the street side. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a warm welcome from La Conciergerie de Nadège :) Nadège and her team have taken care to prepare your accommodation “hotel-style” and in accordance with sustainable practices. They’ll be available throughout your stay should you need anything and can recommend great local spots. Contact information for La Conciergerie de Nadège will be available in your accommodation. La Belle Époque enjoys an exceptional setting. It is situated in the historic center of Milly-la-Forêt, just a stone’s throw from the medieval market hall and its many shops. Around the house, life moves at a gentle pace to the sound of the bells from the 11th-century church. Access to the iconic Chemin de la Garenne leading to the Cocteau House is just a few steps away, and the bike path is only a few meters away. We are particularly fond of our charming village of Milly-la-Forêt, a town within the French Gâtinais Regional Nature Park, with its L’École River, its food shops, its market, its architectural heritage, and its many exceptional tourist sites: Let yourself be tempted by Jean Tinguely’s monumental work in the Bois des Pauvres, *Le Cyclop*, as well as the Maison Cocteau, the National Plant Conservatory, and the Saint-Blaise-des-Simples Chapel. Just a few minutes from the quaint village of Milly, you’ll find: Less than 10 minutes away, you can explore the iconic rock-climbing spot around the Cul du Chien in the Forest of the 3 Pignons. - Dannemois: The famous mill where Claude François lived, along with its restaurant and tea room. You can pay your respects at his grave in the Dannemois cemetery. - Courances: its castle. Access to the A6 highway, 8 kilometers away, will take you to Paris in 50 minutes or to EuroDisney in just over an hour for an unforgettable day! The Loire River isn’t far either. Milly-la-Forêt is accessible by road: take Exit 13 on the A6, then drive 8 km to the town. The nearest RER stations are either Maisse (6 km away) or Fontainebleau-Avon (21 km away). You can also book an on-demand shuttle to take you from Milly-la-Forêt to the Maisse train station. To do so, visit the “ile-de-france Mobilités” website, create an account, and book online. To confirm your reservation, you must agree to the house rules as well as the check-in and check-out instructions. You’ll be staying at the home of Alison and Florian, who have entrusted Nadège and her team with welcoming you and organizing your stay. La Belle Époque promotes sustainable practices :) and a cozy, relaxing experience for its guests! We need a few details to ensure everything goes smoothly… thank you in advance for your understanding: You’ll be welcomed and receive your keys at Nadège’s Conciergerie in Milly-la-Forêt between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, or you can check in on your own after those hours. Please let us know your arrival time as soon as possible and notify us if you’re running late on the day of arrival. This helps us welcome you in the best possible way. Before your arrival, we’ll send you your welcome booklet, which is full of useful information about your accommodation and recommends great local spots :) The inventory of the property is included in the welcome booklet.
