Cleanliness, location and quick accessibility!

Can be a bit noisy at times but is expected as location is in the city centre. The bathroom needed a bath mat to pick up splashing water. Lastly we found the mattress a bit too soft for our liking!

The location was perfect

When we first arrived, at least 30 mins after the appointed check in time, the cleaning staff were still there and the entry way was completely blocked by their equipment, there were no signs directing people where to go and the door that led to our bedroom looked like a cupboard door. Had the staff not been there we would have struggled to find our room. I had booked 2 rooms and the code given for the 1st room was incorrect and we had to be let in by the maintenance man. The lack of a reception was not great! The simple addition of some signage and a phone connected to the people who could help in the entryway would have elevated the whole arrival experience. It really was not a great start. The rooms themselves were ok. The decoration was good, the cleanliness was good, there could have been bigger cups and more tea and coffee, but what was there was okay. The mattress was not great you could feel the springs on the side that you got in and the bed was pushed up to the wall Which made getting in and out for the person on that side quite tricky. The hanging rail provided for our clothes was adequate but getting to it meant walking on an area with broken floor boards which felt a little unsafe. The en-suite whilst Tony was well decorated, very clean and the shower was exceptional. The only criticism I have is the lighting. I loved the lit mirror, but the ceiling light was quite dim and did not reach the shower area, which due to the beautiful black tiles was very dark. Overall the stay was passable, but not worth the £70 paid
