The Coldstreamer didn’t disappoint! We stayed one night here but would have been very happy to stay longer. Recently taken over by a new landlord it is being revamped and will become a very popular place to eat and stay. The room was spacious,comfortable,warm with crisp white bedding extra pillows were in the wardrobe . The bathroom had quality white towels and very nice complimentary toiletries that smelt divine. It was so refreshing to see tissues in the room, so often hotels do not leave them these days. The tea tray in the room consisted of bottled water, tea,coffee and branded biscuits which was just what we needed after a busy day. We decided to have dinner that evening and WOW, the food was amazing and certainly good value. The Coldstreamer obviously has a great chef and the waiting staff were so helpful and polite. Puddings were an astonishingly good price and very tasty. All meat is sourced locally and the sausages were the best we have had for a long time, the veg was cooked to perfection plus they have a decent vegetarian selection. Breakfast was also beautifully cooked and presented with good choices for all. Set in a very old village opposite a beautiful church( go and find the pirates grave) that has views of the sea and just outside Penzance made it the perfect stay for us. Sit outside and watch the world go by or sit inside the pub with a fascinating history and some memorabilia. We would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely return. Big thanks to the landlord Tim and his fabulous staff, you are doing amazing job!
