For skiing, take your pick between Skibowl (15 miles), Timberline Lodge (22 miles), and Mt. Hood Meadows (27 miles).
In this lovely plot of evergreen forest, you'll have wonderful outdoor spaces where you can breathe in the fresh mountain air. Bring your morning coffee out to the rocking chairs on the front porch, and end each night with s'mores and stories around the firepit in the yard.
