I was very nervous about renting a vacation property on a platform I wasn’t familiar with as I usually use Airbnb, but this one wasn’t found on the more familiar platforms. I decided to take a chance because the home looked so nice and the price was really great, cheaper than the price of a tiny hotel room and a million times better! I was able to reach the owner to confirm that it was, in fact, a real listing, and he and his assistant were so helpful and friendly that I felt totally at ease. I’m SO glad I took the chance!
The photos don’t do justice to how beautiful, spacious, bright and airy the home is, how well situated it is in Venice just a block off the boardwalk (we enjoyed Rico’s DELICIOUS Empanadas just a half-block away, and you should, too!), how beautifully decorated with amazing artwork, art books, high-end furnishings and finishes, the incredible master bathroom that rivals a spa, and the amazing private rooftop deck! It has everything you need! Just bring your clothes and your toothbrush!
A couple of things to note so you know what to expect to make your trip even better:
Reserve an overnight parking space for the length of your stay at SpotHero for the 1720 (1715) Pacific Ave lot that is literally 20 steps from the property, and you will be certain to have a space and not have to worry about trying to parallel park on the street (if you can even find a space.) It’s the lot right behind the hair salon and steakhouse right on the corner of 17th Place and Pacific Ave. It was the very best thing we could’ve done for ourselves because we never had to worry about finding a parking spot when we got back to the house. Well worth every penny!
You can reserve in advance, and you’ll only pay if you actually use it, but I promise you will use it! It’s a lifesaver!
Second, the home is technically a three-story, single-family home, but the bottom floor is rented out separately from the second floor/ loft/rooftop. I was a little uneasy at first, not understanding how that could work, but the downstairs guests have their own exterior door, and there is a locked bifold-type door at the bottom of the stairs between their quarters and the rest of the home. You will share the outside gate to the property, but not the glass side door that you use to enter the upstairs part of the house. We got used to the setup quickly and plan to rent both units when my other two sons can join us!
Rent this home worry-free and ENJOY every minute, like we did!!! 😍
